So with a newborn, toddler, dog, house, school, and wanting to work out. I am one busy mommy. I decided that doing freezer meals for dinner during the week was the way to go. It is one thing on my to do list I don't have to think about. I was so proud of myself. I spent a little less than 125 out of our 150 budget and got all of our groceries for breakfasts, lunch, some unplanned dinners and 16 frozen meals!! A little goes a long ways and lots of these meals have tons of veggies and a serving of meat for each individual in my family.
So far freezer meals are seeming easier as it is one day out of a month that I have to prepare every meal. After that I just grab a bag every morning and tossing it in the crockpot and let it do all the work. Then when hubby gets home the house smells like a good cooked meal that I could have slaved over all day.
I have 8 different recipes so far and I can't wait to get my "CrockPot Cooking On". So since I have not had any of the recipes I decided to do three recipes a week and give you my reviews and suggestions to fix it on Friday Night or Saturday Morning.
Meals:
Chicken Noodle Soup
Healthy BBQ Chicken
Goulash Beef Stew
Pot Roast
Teriyaki Chicken
Hamburger Soup
Sloppy Joes
Savory Veggie Soup
If anyone else has some awesome frozen dinner (crockpot style) please send those recipes this way. I will deeply appreciate it. I need some great recipes especially when spring and summer come around. Out of my 8 I only have 3 that can go all four seasons.
