Hey Everyone! I know I was suppose to post some freezer recipes yesterday, but life has been a little hectic I put it on hold until today.
So today I will give the freezer meals for Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry and Chicken Noodle Soup.
I know that I was suppose to give three meals listed on the other post but my hubby was out of town all week and I did not need to eat three different meals with leftovers so I cooked on and ate it until it was gone and then I made the other and by that time hubby was home. So it worked out nice!
This weekend I also got to experience my first temple sealing. My great friend Jenna, her husband Nicc, and their lil boy Kordyn. It was such an amazing experience and the spirit overwhelmed me so much I cried tons. (I even wore make up- bad idea) It reminded me of my experience with my husband and Rylee a little over a year ago. Things came back to me that I completely forgot and I now will remember it always. It was such a wonderful reminder how lucky I am to have my family for time and all eternity. No bond like that can not be broken and I am so happy to experience that with my husband and children.
Anyways back to the Freezer Meals for this week. These all fill a gallon sized bag. First thing I do is write on the bag what meal and what it is that I would need to add into the crock pot (water, sauces, etc.)
Crock-pot Chicken Noodle Soup Freezer Meal
Makes 2 bags
INGREDIENTS
bag of baby carrots split between bags
1 quart chicken broth ea. bag
1 cup of celery chopped (thin) ea. bag
1 onion chopped finely ea. bag
2 garlic cloves minced ea. bag
2 tsp parsley ea. bag
1 tsp pepper ea. bag
1/2 tsp dried basil ea. bag
2-3 lbs boneless and skinless chicken breasts ea. bag
Place all indredients in the bag lay as flat as you can and seal out all the air.
Cook on High for 4 hours and then turn to Low until ready to serve. When you are about to serve cook your pasta and then add to your soup. One bag also serves about 4-6 people depending on your serving size. my serving size is about 1 cup.
Crock-pot Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry and Rice
Makes 2 bags:
Ingredients
One bag of baby carrot split between bags
Large onion cut up in chucks and split between bags
2-3 medium chicken breasts ea. bag
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce ea. bag
A bag of broccoli stir fry each bag. (Any size u want depending on how many veggies u want)
Lay flat squeeze air out and freeze
In crockpot add 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce and cook on high for 4 or low for 8 serve over rice. This serves about 4-5 people. I did 1/2 cup a rice and 1 cup of chicken and broccoli stir fry mix.
** if u don't like veggies steamed and soaking in the juice don't put in bag and just defrost and fry on stove when it is done. It is really good both ways with the veggies in the crockpot there was more flavor but with them cooked on the stove right before serving made the food have a crunchy texture. This meal is a meal that fulls your tummy up for a long time. I ate about 3/4th of it and was satisfied until I had to eat breakfast.
Can't wait to try all the others this week!
