This year was definitely my favorite year of all the Christmas's I have ever had. Rylee is at that stage now where she knows Santa is coming and has been so excited for it for months. The Sunday before Christmas we met my mother in Brigham and had the girls open their presents in front of her. I believe that all should see the kids open their presents because this is the stage where it gets fun and I do not want the grandparents to miss out on seeing the girls get the sparkle in their eye. From my mother they got the cutest clothes. Rylee also got a Vtech laptop (which she immediately was so excited) I was also so proud of her because she immediately thanked her NaNa for it. (At least I'm doing something right, she sure does have manners at times.) Abagail got a potty seat, I cannot wait to start potty training in the New Year. Abby loves sitting on her seat especially when her sister goes to the potty. She sure does look up to her sister.
Christmas eve was fun I was so pleased when all the little kids got their ABC tracing books and loved them. Especially Ezra, he was done opening gifts once he got that. Edison loved the fruit roll ups he also ate his on top of taking some of his brothers before anyone noticed.
When we got home we made the plate up of sugar cookies, Rylee chose to give Santa Eggnog instead of milk (I guess he liked because it was all gone.)
My favorite part of Christmas Eve was when Devin found a youtube video of noises of Santa's arrival. You could hear him moving presents, messing with the tree, stuffing stockings, the jingles on him and his sleigh, and saying hohoho when he left. Rylee was so estatic she got out of bed and was peaking through her bedroom door. All we could hear was her moving it open and closed but we never saw her come out. We of course were playing like we were asleep. Oh the magic of Christmas is such a great feeling.
Christmas day we woke up at 7, Abagail was the first to wake up but Rylee is stubborn like her father and when I told her Santa came she said
"I know I heard him." I then asked her if she wanted to go see what he brought her she replied.
"No not now." and rolled over to go back to bed. I had to keep persisting and once she realized she was so excited. She must have been super tired.
This year I made sure I was presentable. As last year I looked horrific.
Here are some pictures of Christmas Day.
