This year I wanted to start a family tradition that I found on Pinterest and completely fell in love with it. Devin and I between taking care of the girls, him working full time and both of us in school full time we forget to take a minute to breath and just soak in special moments with our girls. So I wanted to start a tradition were we soak in those moments doing something meaningful with our girls.
I decided to do 24 nights of Christmas story time. We bought a handful of Christmas books and wrapped them the girls will open one a night until Christmas and we will read the book as a family before bed time. I love this idea and it was so enjoyable to read our first book last night (Doc McStuffins). Books can be pricy so we decided to use the same books every year and update certain ones that they will grow out of.
On the first of December we put our tree up and Devin lifted Rylee so she can put the star on. She was so proud of herself and talked about it all the time. Its such a great feeling knowing the littlest things make her happy.
This year I feel like is the hardest year for Rylee she has been acting out a lot more since she started realizing Christmas/Santa is coming soon.
